In direct response to a statement to a Perth tagger’s comment regarding:
“The scene is dead. ‘Jebsa’”
UNDENK launched an A2 poster campaign to way-in to the discussion about “what is street art and what is vandalism” using a super simple wheatpaste poster campaign jointly inspired by Russell who suggested playing up the old “lost + found” posters (which you still occasionally see around the Neighbourhood when some ones cat goes missing or a bike gets stolen.)
Matz and Herb sat up to 2am brainstorming ideas, so-called slogans and call-to-action. And although at first they may seem silly individually, as a campaign of 25 Posters they actually form a scathing attack on the banality of Perth Street Art and inaction of those who share city spaces.
Plus, we pissed ourselves laughing the next day – A sure sign we weren’t too far off the mark.
In the end, they indeed became REWARD POSTERS.
